Dear Bill,

Thanx a lot for your response...It was really helpfull.

I am using FreeTDS as a driver for MS SQL Server 2000, possibly SP3 (I am
not so sure what service pack...)
Ok I get what you're saying for the format of the string query for the
stored proc, and processing the result set.
Basically sending the stored proc as if it was a simple query (which are
just basically simple stream of data sent using
TCP/IP protocol to the server and get the result and process it), etc.

I am definatelly going to be using input params but that's simple 'cause
I've got C++ wrapper classes around FreeTDS
(I am using ctlib by the way) then I can basically hold parameters with
temporaly holders and expose an API that allows
the user to specify their values after which I can then format the query to
be sent to the server.

Is "exec <store procedure> @charparam = 'value', @intparam = 123, @dateparam
=
'Jan 1 2003' " the format of a stored proc query whith FreeTDS???

I am kind of trying to have a complete Db driver so for stored proc I will
also need to provide support for output params
which up to now I don't have a clue how to go about it...

Thanx a lot
