Welcome, Andreas.

Double check your freetds.conf, odbc.ini with logs from TDSDUMP and
TDSDUMPCONFIG. Probably FreeTDS is not being asked to connect to the server
you intend. If the logs don't make the problem clear, please post all four
files here. Someone will help you. (Beware your password is captured in
the TDSDUMP log).

Many people don't understand at first that the "Servername" attribute in
odbc.ini should match the [dataserver] section name in freetds.conf.
