Hi together,

I searched the internet for a while but
I didn't find a solution for my problem:

1) I compiled and installed the newest
version of the iodbc driver manager.
This is libiodbc-3.0.6.
I installed it to /usr/local/iodbc

2) I compiled and installed the newest
version of freetds. It's freetds-0.61.
In the configure run I pointed to
the right place of the iodbc driver
manger. All went right. I installed
it to /usr/local/freetds

3) I created appropriate entries in
freetds.conf

4) I could connect to the server with
tsql.

5) I compiled sqsh and could also connect
to the server.

6) I took the odbc.ini sample out of
the freetds distribution, edited it accordingly
(I hope).

7) I tried to connect to the server with
odbctest "DSN=blabla;USER=someone".
I get allways a core dump there.

So do you know some help or could you please
give me some hints, how to get a stable
ODBC environment?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards
Andreas Mock
