Got a bit of a puzzling issue here... We're running two different development servers with the same version of FreeTDS, connecting to the same SQL Server 7.0 database using DBD::Sybase.

In trying to call a stored procedure or regular query, one server returns all the expected rows in a reasonable amount of time, the other one hangs after only fetching ~4 of the rows. It seems the one that hangs only does so if there are more than 50 rows returned (exactly 52, according to what people trying different solutions are telling me), but runs fine if less rows are returned.

The versions of DBD::Sybase are not identical (.91 vs. .94), but there is nothing in the ChangeLog that indicates any problematic changes, especially since the older version is the one that's working. We also managed to get another machine with the newer version of DBD::Sybase to work, so that does not seem to be the problem. The only other difference I can think of is that the "hanging machine" is outside our firewall and has to traverse different ports through the firewall for communication with the database. Also, we've tried setting the tdsversion in freetds.conf equal to both 4.2 and 7.0.

Not sure if this the right place to ask for assistance, but we're attempting any and all means at this point. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

cheers,
Blake Nyquist
