Yes, I agree that we should keep our namespace as clean as possible. When I
have nothing better to do, I intend to scour the code for things like
g_dblib_version and set_interfaces_file_loc...

ucs_write_string() ?? But tds_ is not a prefix to avoid name conflicts ??
Perhaps tds_ucs_write_string(), but we have used all get/put for writing and
reading from wire...
Best tds_put_ucs2_string ??
