I agree...most of the current asprintf implementation should go away...if
you have snprintf it should use it, otherwise it should use the code that's
currently the threadsafe version. I'll get to this soon, but feel free to
beat me to it :-)

asprintf is a sprintf like function that allocate string buffer on heap.
This function use some vmalloc stuff or file. To solve this try to enable
--enable-threadsafe (it use file implementation).

I think this function should use snprintf (if available...)
