Dear all,

Every time I try to connect with my configuration, I get core dumped
(segementation fault).

Here my configuration:

- FreeTDS 0.53pre ( configure --with-tdsver=7.0 --enable-dbmfix )
- SQL Server 7.0 on NT, set up in mixed mode, user in SQL Server
Authentication
- RedHat 7.0

ENVIRONMENT:
SYBASE="/usr/local/freetds"
TDSDUMP=""
TDSVER="70"

If I am running gmake check, all tests fail!

- Apache Web Server 1.3.12 (Unix) (Red Hat/Linux)
- PHP-4.0.6 ( configure --with-sybase=/usr/local/freetds
--with-mssql=/usr/local/freetds [...] )

LOG FILES:
in /tmp/freetds.log.18959 one line with
2001-11-13 13:11:52 Connecting addr 172.16.1.13 port 1433

in /var/log/httpd/error_log:
[...]
[Tue Nov 13 13:11:53 2001] [notice] child pid 18959 exit signal Segmentation
fault (11)

-----------------------
What did i try so far?
- installed current version of freeTDS and version 0.52 => same result
- verfied access to MS SQL Server => no problem to connect from NT or via
linux/OpenLink with my user
- checked with 4.2 instead of 7.0 => same result
- telnet to port 1433 of 172.16.1.13 => Server is listening
- sqsh installed and started (sqsh -S SQLSrvDWH) (is my entry in the
interfaces file) => after entry of password: core dump (segmentation fault)

-----------------------------
Anyone knows what I still can check? Or knows what could be wrong? I can
remember reading somewhere that dbopen on Redhat 7.0 is buggy. Could this be
the problem? (Note: I am using tdsdbopen).

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanx
/rudy
