Just to clarify that:
I put SetEnv SYBASE /usr/local/freetds info my httpd.conf
/usr/local/freetds/lib is in my ld.so.conf
and I have run ldconfig with it in there.
And it still gives the same error ("Warning: 0 is not a Sybase link index in
/usr/local/apache_1.3.19/htdocs/darius.php on line 31")

Still no luck. I'm completely stumped. The only thing I can think of now
is to install it on a fresh box, see if it works and then compare
configurations.

Ok, either do an 'export SYBASE=/usr/local/freetds' prior to starting
apache or put the 'SetEnv SYBASE /usr/local/freetds' directive in you
httpd.conf file
