Technically, we only need to know the types for 16 and 32 bit integers,
and 32 and 64 bit floats since that is all the protocol supports anyway.
So, Dreamcasts and Transmetas in native mode are good to go! :-)

By the way, I've had this notion in my head (since we are moving to DB2)
of creating a DRDA library. For those who don't know, DRDA is an IBM
submission to the OpenGroup for a database independant wire level
protocol. Just kinda of wondering if anyone else is interested?
Especially making a server API available to Postgres, MySQL, Interbase,
etc... And making a DRDA<->TDS gateway of course! (DRDA supports 64 bit
integers if you were wondering about the relevance of this).
