The Finger Lakes Native Plant Society presents a slide show & talk by Anurag Agrawal, Cornell Dept. Ecology & Evolutionary Biology on

The Natural History of Coevolution Between Plants and their Insect Herbivores

Plants have evolved remarkable defensive traits that protect them against insect attack. Anurag will discuss patterns of plant defense and insect counter-defense using three different local native plants including milkweeds, viburnums, and evening primroses.  The talk will feature natural history as well as current and classic conceptual issues in plant ecology and entomology.
