Extend the harvest and eat local foods year-round!   Learn safe home food preservation methods at Cornell Cooperative Extension-Tompkins.
Schedule of remaining food preservation classes below:
Boiling Water Bath Canning
Thurs, July 15th,  6:30-9:00 pm
This class covers how to safely use a boiling water bath canner to preserve tomatoes, fruits or pickles.  Participants will receive updated information on canning procedures and hands-on practice.

Pressure Canning of Vegetables and Meat
Tues, July 20th,  1:00-4:00 pm   OR 
Thurs, July 29th, 6:30-9:00 pm
Learn the procedures for safely canning low-acid foods, such as vegetables and meats, in a pressure canner.  Get updated information on canning techniques, and learn about the different types of pressure canners that can be used.
Above classes will be held at CCE-Tompkins Education Center,  615 Willow Ave, Ithaca, NY
Fee: $15 per class (due at time of registration)
