Dear Tim,
Thank you for those summaries, Loren. That should prove helpful next time I
plan on beefing up my Pauline commentaries. (I'm working toward doctoral
study in Romans.) Of your list, I only have Dunn at present.
Personally, my favourite Galatians commentaries are Witherington and
Garlington. And I like Wright on Romans, although I disagree with him in a
number of places (not least Rom 9 and 11). But I don't have time to give the
helpful kind of summary you provided, so we'll leave it at that.
HH: I highly recommend Douglas Moo's Commentary on Romans.
