Sakari Hakkinen asked "Considering Paul's influence to later Christianity,
isn't it odd that he is not at all mentioned in the Gospels?" and "why Paul
is not introduced in any way in the Gospels, only in Acts".
One answer to this would be that it would be inappropriate and
anachronistic to introduce Paul into the gospel narratives. The very
absence to which he points is a reminder of the limits which were placed on
the creativity of the evangelists by their choice of generic vehicle.
I fully realise that this is only stating the obvious.
