This is just an observation, and is not intended to open another can o'
worms, but a lot of the evidence which the posted excerpt from the
Wycliffe Bible Encyclopedia cited to support Pauline authorship of the
Pastorals reflects an explicit and unquestioned trust in Acts as a
reliable source for Paul and Paul's time. For example, that some of the
leadership positions from the Pastorals are also found in Acts is hardly
evidence that they were current in Paul's time.
