Whatever it says in Webster's.
It might be interesting to contrast Paul's connotations with what occurs
in the Book of Job, where the Hebrew tiqvah appears 11 times or so.
Paul seems to have added an eschatological dimension, and perhaps a
different sense of faith-based conviction, but I'm out of my depth here.
I was hoping (!) someone would explain it.
