Also, Tacitus calls king Abgar/Agbar of Edessa "king of the Arabs," and the
inhabitants of this general area "Arabs" (Annals 6.44 & 12.12).
R. Eisenman [James ...] reports that Strabo says Mesopotamia was for the
most part inhabited by "Arab chieftans" and that the Osrhoeans are also
"Arabs" (Geography 16.1.28), although I could not immediately check out
this reference.
