Greetings Commissioners,

Following up on the discussion at our last meeting, attached you will find an outline for Loeb Fellows Kathy Fox and Rick St. James visit to Chapel Hill this Saturday.  As their time with us is short, this draft was developed to provide with a one-day overview of Chapel Hill/Carrboro’s cultural assets within the context of their geographic, political, and social settings.  The plan is flexible and intended to adapt to Kathy’s, Rick’s and our questions and inspirations along the way.  In the meantime, please email suggestions to Jeff.

Kathy and Rick will be provided additional information concerning venues and activities that they cannot see on Saturday.  Perhaps more important than seeing any specific venue is the opportunity for Kathy and Rick to hear from Commissioners about Chapel Hill and issues such as growth in the area, development buffer zones, transportation, gateways, etc.

You are invited to participate in developing the Loeb program by joining the group at anytime during the day.  You will find Jeff’s and my cell phone numbers on the itinerary in case you wish to locate the group en route.  If you plan on joining the group for lunch at the Weathervane, please let Jeff know by the end of the day on Friday so that he can confirm reservations.

With thanks for your work for the arts in Chapel Hill,

Jerry
