Creating an Artistic Economy: A Creative Communities Workshop
 
Keynote Speaker: Becky Anderson of Handmade in America
 
Imperial Centre - Rocky Mount, NC
 
9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
 
The Creating an Artistic Economy workshop will: 
*           examine the role of arts in local economic development;
*           provide community leaders and citizens with ideas to help them identify and cultivate their arts and crafts communities; and,
*           provide community leaders and citizens with techniques to help them develop and nurture their local arts culture.
 
Cost:  $25 per person; $15 per student, includes box lunch.  This event is free of charge to members of the Creative Communities Commissions.

This workshop is part of the Creative Communities Initiative.  The Creative Communities Initiative is funded by grants from Golden LEAF, Inc., Wachovia and the National Endowment for the Arts.
