Hello everyone! There are lots of awesome events this month, /INCLUDING A
YARD SALE AND LAWN PARTY FUND RAISER ON SAT. JUNE 25./ Scroll down for more
info on that, and here's what's going on this week and beyond:

**THIS WEEK**

TRANS DISCUSSION GROUP Wed June 8 @ 8pm

MOVIE NIGHT: "THE LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST" Thur June 9 @ 7pm
The Last Temptation of Christ (Scorsese, 1988) is the first film in 'THELINE:
Sexual Frontiers of Popular Cinema,' a series of screenings and conversations
hosted by The Public School Durham [durham.thepublicschool.org]. Each film
marks a different place where audiences and/or film-makers judged a movie to
"cross the line" at the edge of decency. They range from 'trash' to 'art,'
defining the line for very different reasons, variously by the quantity,
intensity, tone, and subject of their sex-on-screen. We hope this will open a
conversation on censorship, sexuality, outrage, cinematography, publicity,
and decency itself.

**NEXT WEEK**

SPECIAL MOVIE NIGHT:"GASLAND" Mon June 13 @ 7pm
A special documentary that everyone needs to see (it's about hydro-fracking,
which might be happening in this area in the not-too-distant future, unless
we do something about it). Brought to you by Croatan Earth First!
(please note that this is on a special night, and not on a thursday night)

There will be a meeting/discussion after the movie to talk about what we can
do!
