---DETAILS---
Wednesday, January 19
=95 6:30P Blues N' Brews Tri-Beer - The Triangle Beer Meet Up
You do not need to be a Tri-Beer member to participate in this event.
Tri-Beer is a group for the true beer enthusiast or those who want to
develop a stronger appreciation for beer. Every month, we try to bring
in a beer that is special or different - - - something that not
everybody would normally get a chance to try. We've had beautiful
casks and kegs from Duck-Rabbit, Lone Rider, Aviator, Sweetwater,
Foothills, and others.

This month's feature is: North Coast Brewing Company's Brother
Thelonious Belgian Style Abbey Ale
Like a Belgian =93Dark Strong Ale=94, the beer is rich and robust.
Vital Statistics:
Style: Belgian Style Strong Dark
Color: Dark mahogany
ABV: 9.4%
Bitterness: 32 IBU's
When you buy Brother Thelonious Belgian Style Abbey Ale you also help
to support the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz whose mission is to
offer the world's most promising young musicians college level
training by America's jazz masters and to present public school-based
jazz education programs for young people around the world. All of
these programs are offered free of charge to the students and schools.

=95 8P Continuum Blues Jam- Come out to the Blues Jam every other
Wednesday sponsored by Continuum Consulting Services. Butch Haas will
be facilitating this free-to-the-public jam. So bring your gear, sign
up for a time, and jam with some of Durham=92s finest! Drums, keyboard,
bass, guitar and harp amps provided.

Thursday, January 20
=95 8P Attic Orchestra (folk/indie/jazz)

=95 10P Don't Tell Darlings (americana/bluegrass/folk)
The Don't Tell Darlings met years ago on the windswept plains of
southern Minnesota but now spend their evenings pickin' and singin' in
the sweet Virginia hills. They play a mix of long-forgotten and well-
remembered tunes, with a healthy scattering of Miss Millie's
originals. Their repertoire weaves threads of the old-time, Western
Swing, early country and blues, bluegrass, and jug band traditions.
Imagine a Depression-era mix tape. At any given moment, the Darlings
might be harmonizing like song birds, raising a proper ruckus, or
both. With Megan on guitar and Millie on the banjo, their sound is
characterized by tight female harmonies and a penchant for songs that
let everybody know: these girls will fix your wagon, and that's a
promise.

Friday, January 21
=95 8P Chris Bryant - The 2010 Discovery Series
Middle school teacher by day, singer/songwriter by night, singer/
songwriter by night, Chris Bryant approaches varied genres and subject
matter with soulful honesty. It doesn't matter if he's singing about
love, love lost, social responsibility or having fun at a party - when
Chris sings, people listen. And when they listen, they believe him.

In 2010, Chris is playing a special series of shows at the Broad
Street Cafe. Each month, he'll play a 45-50 minute set of music from
an artist, band, or genre that's been influential or inspirational to
his musical development. He'll follow that up with a 45-50 minute set
of his own material. To find out more, visit http://discover.chrisbryantmu=
sic.com.

music. The Eno Mountain Boys strive to spread the word of the land
with simple words, and hand-me-down music. Check the shows section and
come check the boys out.

=95 11:45P The Appallers

Saturday, January 22
=95 8P The String Machine
The String Machine was founded in early 2009 by banjoist Marshall Gray
with a desire to develop a band that was willing to =93color outside of
the lines=94 by integrating a variety of music styles and approaches
into the bluegrass genera. All with a desire to expand the audience
base for bluegrass music, while keeping enough traditional material to
maintain its' bluegrass roots. As a result, a typical String Machine
set could feature some familiar traditional or contemporary country,
bluegrass, rock, blues, gospel, old time, Americana, classical, or
originals served up with =93The Machines=94 special touch. Thus the term
=93bluegrass unleashed=94!

=95 10P Corn and The Colonels (folk/skiffle/world)
Corn and the Colonels are always harvested at the peak of freshness.
They are guaranteed to be free of impurities, a new sound, clinically
proven to aid in drink consumption and the courting of new love. We
cull words and melodies from musical traditions around the world- some
forgotten, some familiar- to warm your heart and make you dance.

Sunday, January 23
=95 7:30P Sunday Night Jazz Series
The JazzTones (jazz/blues/swing)
The JazzTones sextet plays mainstream jazz in the styles of the 50's
and 60's. Behind the sultry vocals of Alice Brower, the Jazztones
