---DETAILS---

Tuesday, November 23

=95 8P Channing and Quinn (acoustic/indie/soul)
This is the story of Channing and Quinn...
It will be short because it's just begun, and they are anxiously
waiting to see what happens next.

It begins in the small town of Boone, perched precariously amidst the
Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Channing, scribbling lyrics
and humming odd little melodies to herself, and Quinn, hungrily
learning to speak through any instrument he could find.

Inevitably, the two collided and as their music met, it sprang to life
like it had just been waiting for it's missing counterpart. Channing
and Quinn tested the waters in small venues first in Boone, and then
Charlotte, searching for a home for their quirky soulful sound.

Their search lead them to Nashville, TN and its deep musical roots
ground them as they continue to travel and share the music that
they've drawn simply from themselves and the colorful world around
them."

Friday, November 26

=95 8P Bob Funck (folk rock/pop)
Rhythmic acoustic folk-pop with a melodic quality that is
unpredictable yet fully accessible=85 and full of irresistible hooks.
The songs are at once hopeful and melancholy weaving personal and
social themes into intricate lyrical tapestries=85 stories of the 4
L's...Love, Life, Loss and
Loneliness.

=95 10P The Numbers
Britt Harper Uzzell - better known as Snuzz - has long been one of the
Triad's most lovable (and quietly gifted) musical characters. He
worked in Bus Stop for years, toured with Ben Folds, and has passed
time making solo CDs full of extraordinary pop music. His latest disc,
Big Potatoes, is a slice of delectable, feel-good pop that seems
almost too appealing to be true (and way too good to go unnoticed).
Snuzz wrote, produced, recorded and played most of the instruments,
with a few contributions from such notable cohorts as Django Haskins,
Eddie Walker and Robert Sledge. The songs are hey-would-you-look-at-
that jewels, evocatively so, cut through with a winning sense of
Southern grace and place. The arrangements are airy, and the
performances unfold with unassuming ease, capped by sneaky hooks and
Snuzz's unassuming singing (think Evan Dando).

"The Singer With Nothing To Say," the apologetic "Fayetteville," "Love
Of The Game" - all will steal your heart away, which is just what
great pop music is supposed to do. - Ed Bumgardner, relish staff
writer

"snuzz has hand his hand in more interesting projects since 1990 than
most anybody else in the state" tim davis, creative loafing "better
than 95% of the major label stuff that comes across my desk" parke
puterbaugh, rolling stone, others

100% of the bands' proceeds will go to this wonderful cause. Come on
out and help support local live music and the Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation.

=95 8P Tea Cup Gin
Tea Cup Gin plays jazz, show tunes, and blues from 1900-1950, drawing
from the works of Billie Holiday, Hoagy Carmichael, Fats Waller, Cole
Porter, and many, many more. Consisting of Patti Honeycutt on vocals,
Mike Reid and John Klonowski on guitars, and Mike Maloney on bass, the
band brings a new take on music from one of the most influential
periods in American music. Songs that last 100 years have got to be
good! You'll be amazed at how many of these songs are familiar to
you.

The Tea Cups:
Mike Reid studied at the Mannes School of Music in New York and
subsequently toured as the lead guitar player for Tim Hardin as well
as sitting in with Mick Fleetwood. Patti studied classical and jazz
vocals at the Duquesne University School of Music, and has performed
in many local musical productions. Mike Maloney has toured in Europe
as well as performing in local bands. John is the knucklehead who put
all of this together.

=95 10P West Trinity (blues/rock)
West Trinity plays the kind of raw bluesy rock that spans from the
Piedmont to Picadilly Square. Free from synthesizers, samplers and
drum machines, the music of West Trinity is centered around barbaric
tribal drumbeats and biting guitar, with soaring vocals and thoughtful
composition. This show marks the release of West Trinity=92s first CD,
=93Illuminatus=94, on Ferocidi Records.

Grayson Currin, from the The Independent writes, =93West Trinity (is) a
new Durham four-piece that quotes classical music within its vaguely
spectral blues-rock anthems. A little like light Deep Purple Cream,
West Trinity builds electric washes beneath Therese Honeycutt's
incensed voice.=94

Come on out for what promises to be a great party and show!

Sunday, November 28

=95 7:30P - Sunday Night Jazz Series
The JazzTones (jazz/blues/swing)
The JazzTones sextet plays mainstream jazz in the styles of the 50's
and 60's. Behind the sultry vocals of Alice Brower, the Jazztones
cover tunes ranging from standards, to swing, blues, latin and bebop.
It's members come from the greater Hillsborough, North Carolina area.
