---DETAILS---

=95 8P Matt Woods (southern rock/folk rock/country) and Pete Stein (of
Truckstop Coffee - rock/americana)
Matt Woods... here's the short story. Matt has been a figure in the
East Tennessee music scene for the past ten years. Located in
Knoxville, TN, he has performed in several bands as well as working as
a solo artist. Matt has shared the stage with the likes of CAKE,
Drivin' n' Cryin', Will Hoge, Kevn Kinney, Roger Clyne (of The
Refreshments), Garrison Starr, Tim Lee, Mic Harrison (of the V-Roys
and Superdrag), Doug Gillard (of Guided By Voices) , Col. Bruce
Hampton & the Code Talkers, Zac Brown, Graham Colton, Brian Vander Ark
(of The Verve Pipe), The Features and a seemingly never-ending list of
talented independent artists who aren't getting the widespread respect
they deserve from points around the globe. Matt spent his earliest
years with a band called Magpie Suite, which received a bit of
notoriety around the southeast and produced three albums. Until
recently, he worked devotedly with his latest band Plan A, where he
wrote songs, sang, played guitars, played cards, drank beers, and
often drove from show to show along the east coast in a big, brown van
named Daisy. Plan A released and supported two full length albums
between 2004 and 2009. Through solo performances and band appearances,
Matt has averaged over 200 shows a year for the past few years, an
average that would be higher if it weren't for a very unfortunate
thumb-wrestling accident in the spring of '06. At home, Matt also
performs in a duo called Adapted Wood with long time friend Tod Sheley
every Monday night, and in several other projects featuring a number
of talented musicians. He can also be found sitting in from time to
time at random shows in the Knoxville area.
These days Matt is focused on writing new material and performing
solo shows both at home and on the road in support of his 10 year
acoustic retrospective called "Broken Strings & Beer Specials." The
album features acoustic versions of many of the songs recorded over
the past 10 years with both Magpie Suite and Plan A, as well as a few
unreleased tracks.

Wednesday, October 6

=95 8P Open Mic Night
Open Mic is arranged to enable anyone to perform, so all you have to
do is turn up early and get your name down to perform. Originals and
cover music of every style and genre are welcome! Open mic is a great
way to practice your art and can also can be a proving ground for new
talent and material. The audience consists of singers, poets,
songwriters and music lovers so the atmosphere should be warm and
encouraging for everybody.

Thursday, October 7

=95 8P Joey Panzarella (acoustic/folk rock)
My name is Joey Panzarella and I am originally from Northeast Ohio,
currently living in North Carolina. I play acoustic 6 string, 12
string, and bass guitars. I also play harmonica, several percussion
instruments, and piano (not all at the same time.) My original music
has been influenced mostly by Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and The Beatles.

=95 10P McCauliffe Brothers (rock/funk/pop)
Here they were: six years gone for two brothers who had showcased
their rock/funk original songs at venues throughout North Carolina,
while backed by a variety of drummers since 2004. All the different
drummers over their musical existence had broadened the stylistic
horizons of Chris (guitar, vocals) and Mike McCauliffe (bass). But in
2010, the McCauliffe Brothers questioned what was next. They knew they
were looking for a specific lineup of musicians, for they wanted to
top their past and bring their live performances up to a new height.

In May, the brothers met the two persons that would complete the
lineup for the McCauliffe Brothers Band. Drummer, Eric Mrozkowski and
keyboardist, Robbie Bielawski were undoubtedly the two musicians that
would fill the roster. They added a tighter rhythm section, greater
variety and maturity to the brothers=92 sound. Mrozkowski, an
experienced drummer from the area, has all the versatility and
tastefulness that Chris and Mike had been searching for. Bielawski,
whom previously played in Virginia, seamlessly fits in chord shapes
and textures between Mike=92s bass grooves and Chris=92 rhythm playing.
The band is making big plans to gig extensively and record new tracks
in 2010 and 2011.

With a balanced combination of rock, funk, jazz, blues, improvisation
and pop, the McCauliffe Brothers Band captivates the audience=92s
attention with their dynamics, catchy lyrics, uplifting melodies as
well as surprise changes and transitions. Their live shows give the
fans extra instrumental peaks, heavy hypnotic dance grooves, teases of
cover songs, and often times special guests.

Friday, October 8

=95 8P Jasm=E9 Kelly (singer/songwriter)
Jasm=E9 began playing guitar while attending the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received a degree in performance
studies. While in North Carolina she also received the Durham County
Emerging Artist Grant.
Jasm=E9 was brought into the industry by the Wyclef Jean of the
Refugee Camp, and has opened for such luminaries as George Duke,
Stanley Clarke, Al DiMeola, Jean-Luc Ponty, Maceo Parker, Boney James,
Al Jarreau, Jonathan Butler and Peter White. The highly esteemed bass
master Anthony Jackson is even featured on two songs on her album. She
has also packed countless historic venues in New York City such as
CBGB, Caf=E9 Wha?, The Bitter End, The Village Underground, Joe's Pub
and Malik Yoba's Soul Caf=E9.
In addition to being a talented performer, Jasm=E9 is also an
accomplished songwriter, having co-written the song "Holla!" as
performed by The Baha Men (of legendary "Who Let The Dogs Out?" fame).
"Holla!" has been used internationally in: "Garfield: The Movie";
"Kicking and Screaming" (with Will Ferrell); the television shows "Las
Vegas," "Malcolm in the Middle" and "JAG"; and the video game "Beach
Volleyball: Dead or Alive"

=95 10P Wylie Hunter (rock/americana/pop) - $7 Cover
Wylie Hunter & The Cazadores' first release is a seven song EP that
delivers a reinvented brand of rock and roll that puts the song first.
Drawing from the likes of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, The Band, and
Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, their self titled EP combines
sincere songwriting with an undeniable energy that captures their
powerful live performances. Wylie's intimate lyrical style and pop
sensibility combined with the band's keen attention to musicality and
arrangement produces a sound universally appealing and proven to draw
in listeners time and again. When Wylie Hunter got back to Chapel
Hill, NC from Atlanta after a year of pursuing a career as a solo
artist, the next steps were unclear. But after reconnecting with old
friend and guitar player William Taylor at an open mic night in Chapel
Hill, a new project was born. The two started playing acoustic shows
around town and while there was definite musical chemistry, the duo
quickly decided that a band was needed to fully realize the songs.
They set out to put together a group of like-minded musicians and were
joined by keyboard player Charles Cleaver, bassist Seth Barden, and
drummer Paul Fisher, all already active members in the town's booming
music scene. Together as Wylie Hunter & The Cazadores the band
recorded their self titled EP in the spring of 2010. They started
their project with engineer Jeremey Haire in Greensboro, NC and then
finally teamed up with Jeff Crawford of Arbor Ridge Studios in Chapel
Hill to complete the record. Currently, the band is supporting their
recent release by hitting the road beginning in the summer of 2010.

=95 11P Brett Harris (indie/pop/rock)
Brett Harris has come a long way from his days singing into a hand-me-
down tape recorder in his basement. Last year, the Durham singer-
songwriter emerged from that basement with a collection of songs and
began playing shows throughout the region. With Yesterday's News, his
self- released first EP (2008), Brett was able to showcase his
versatility as a musician as well as a songwriter. With a series of
strong press reviews and a relentless touring schedule Brett earned
the respect of fans and critics alike and proved that he is as hard-
working as he is talented. For his follow-up effort, Brett once again
teamed up with producer/engineer John Plymale. Unlike Yesterday=92s
News, which featured Brett playing every instrument, this new project
was intended to capture the sound and feel of a band playing together
in a room. To achieve that sound, Brett recorded with the talented
trio that has backed him at select shows this year. This four-song
collection, entitled Side Two (release date: October 7th, 2008),
further demonstrates Brett=92s range and versatility. From the raucous
sing-along chorus of opener =93Not Coming Back=94 to the dance pop
inspired =93Red Dress=94 to the tender yet assuring tones of the piano-
driven =93Crashing Down=94, Side Two is a vibrant and eclectic mix that
reveals an artist growing rapidly in ability and further defining a
style and sound that is all his own.

=95 Midnite Amelia's Mechanics
Amelia=92s Mechanics is fronted by singer-songwriters Molly McGinn and
Molly Miller. Despite what the oil-and-iron name might suggest, the
women of Amelia=92s Mechanics swap that toughness for a more urban,
sophisticated take on Americana music, using luxuriating harmonies and
classical swells to temper their lyrical frustrations with love and
life. The instrumentation and vocal harmonies of Amelia=92s Mechanics
result in a genre-busting sound best described as =93vintage country
with a moonshine concerto.=94

The band released their debut album =93North, South,=94 produced by Jim
Avett (father, The Avett Brothers,) in February of 2010 to critical
acclaim and embarked on an inaugural spring tour to the delight of
audiences all across the southeastern United States. Amelia=92s
Mechanics is currently working on their second album to be released
Spring 2011.

Saturday, October 9

=95 8P Zoe Mulford
A set by American songwriter Zoe Mulford is like a small volume of
short stories - evocative, beautifully crafted, and endlessly varied.
Whether her starting-point is Franklin=92s doomed polar expedition or
the neglected contents of her own refrigerator, her vivid storytelling
and down-to-earth humor promise listeners an enjoyable journey. She
backs her clear voice with guitar or claw-hammer banjo and
intersperses her own songs with selections from the music that
inspires them: American and British folk ballads, Appalachian banjo
tunes, and the work of songwriters from George Gershwin to Richard
Thompson. Raised near Philadelphia, she now lives in Manchester,
England and plays on both sides of the Atlantic.

Her latest release, "Bonfires", celebrates the folk tradition from
North Carolina to Liverpool. The album reached #3 on the Folk-DJ chart
the month after its release and has continued to have airplay across
the US and beyond.

=95 10P First Call (rock) - $5 cover
"Cause it's First Call, not Last Call and we're going to be alright.
So text a friend or next of kin, 'cause we'll be drinking here all
night..."

=95 11P Bitterman (rock/punk)
Hailing from durham, chapel hill and raleigh, these boys rock it out
with just a hint of bitterness.

=95 12 Bobby's Fever (surf/punk/rock)
After moving from Los Angeles and posting a craigslist ad for band
mates, Lars Endrigat is teamed up with locals Ryan McKellar, (Soda Pop
& Ritalin, Butter, former Autocade) on drums and Dan Streib (The
Future Kings of Nowhere and Resist Not) on bass. Self-proclaimed as a
garage symphony, Bobby=92s Fever are loud and in your face as they hope
to inspire you to shake your ass and bang your head. Drawing
inspiration from such bands as The Ramones, Weezer, Rancid, and
Nirvana as singer/guitarist Bobby Lars=92 child-like vocal gravel and
heavy guitar riffs mesh with Bobby Ryans ever pounding drums and Bobby
Streibs bass lines.
