This Sunday 6/27, BOAT BURNING's Andras Fekete and special guest guitarist
Tim Carless will present the Chapel Hill debut of "Hard Ambiance: Music for
guitar and analog tape" at FUSE.
Come in out of the heat, kick back, and chill for two sets, starting
10:00pm.
Using ethereal guitars, subtle not-unpleasant damage and live tape
manipulations, the goal is to create a uniquely stimulating aural /
emotional backdrop for an evening at FUSE. This is music that invites
contemplation, but also conversation and connection: feel free to walk
around, chat, drink, eat & relax. Forget, even, that there's a band playing,
ok? It's not about the band -- it's about you.
It's *always* been about you.
This performance is part of Boat Burnings's "Last Sundays" series, a monthly
celebration / meditation on the connection between emotion and pure musical
improvisation, hosted the last Sunday of each month at FUSE in downtown
Chapel Hill.
