9:45-10:30 - 2nd dj set
10:30-11:30 - Balankora
11:30-2:00 - Afro Beat / African Influenced Dance party...

Times are approximate but we're gonna try hard to run on schedule considering
that this is a weeknight and not everyone can come to something that starts
late.

Charlie and Ethan: dj before/between/after the live performances, starting
off the evening with more traditional music but building into heavier dance
music that exemplifies the musical dialogue between africa and the americas
from the 70s to present.... (afro-beat, highlife, jive, afro-disco and house)
WE'LL BE READY AS LONG AS PEOPLE WANNA DANCE.

BALANKORA: is a raleigh-based performance group that will be focusing on
non-percussive traditional music of west africa, played on balafon, kora, and
ngoni.

$5 - $8 sliding scale, since it's a benefit. see below.

this is a BENEFIT/FUNDRAISER and all proceeds will benefit "TAKING IT TO THE
BRIDGE II" at CAARE INC. in durham on April 18. the celebration includes
