what happens when Durham's scrappy rag-tag street band
Scene of the Crime Rovers meet up with a full fledged symphony
orchestra???
What happens when YOU have an opportunity to create a spontaneous
orchestra?
Find out this Friday July 17:
Explore Rhythm
Everyone Can Play!

CCB Plaza in Downtown Durham
201 Corcoran St.
6-9pm
rain location the Durham Armory

Music Explorium and Shannon Morrow present an extravaganza of music,
percussion and melody. Enjoy the sounds and participate in hands-on
activities, including interactive drum circles and found sound
instrument making using recycled materials.
The evening kicks off with an incredible feature performance by RTOOT
(the Really Terrible Orchestra Of the Triangle, a new regional
symphony under the baton of W. Sands Hobgood), in addition to a
performance by the Scene of the Crime Rovers (Durham's own community
street band).

Following the performances everyone is invited to participate in the
fun, by joining Shannon and Music Explorium in an interactive drum
circle or at the found sound instrument making table.
The evening will culminate in a rousing performance by YOU in the
=93Everybody Plays Instant Orchestra=94- a drum circle and melodic
instrument jam for community members who would like to join us with
their instrument, voice or homemade percussion. Music Explorium will
provide drums and percussion to play, and you may also bring or make
your own a melodic or rhythmic instrument.

This event is sponsored by Durham Parks and Recreation and The City of
Durham! Thanks!
