Hmmm...Why do they still call it CCB Plaza? CCB was absorbed by SunTrust a
couple of years ago.

Anyway --

*Veronique Diabolique*

"Painted up and feeling down, VD temper high-concept, gothy indulgence with
chicly low-rent, dirty song craft. Sure, they cite dead philosophers,
filmmakers, and long-lost sisters as influences, but the band's songs are
never excessively brainy or overcooked, their guitars are reeled in, and
their vocals are sexily in check." – Independent Weekly

*The Wigg Report*
The Wigg Report are Christine Fantini, Stephen Mullaney and Ben Riseling.
Armed with a guitar, the remains of a drum set and a saxophone, The Wigg
Report has been setting up on street corners, in clubs and anywhere that
lets them play. Their guerrilla approach to playing has started to earn them
recognition in their small town of Durham. They constantly practice and
record in the tiny laundry room of their house in Durham. This is where
their first self-titled release was spawned and also where their
once-neighbor, Ben Riseling, must have heard them and started stalking them.
This unavoidable collaboration has led not only to innovative uses of
laundry equipment as acoustic devices but also to their first full length
album, *Seltzer*.

*Cantwell, Jordan & Gomez
*For the last nine years, Durham's Cantwell, Jordan & Gomez have been
playing original avant-garde punk rock all over North Carolina and
(slightly) beyond. They've put out several records on local labels and had
fun playing with all kinds of bands and in all types of venues. Their
latest record is 2008's CDEP *Hot Licks and Rhetoric* on Durham's 307 Knox
Records. It was recorded in Durham by Patrick Klem and has a cool cover by
local poster legend Ron Liberti.**
