Hello,
Some very nice folks, Eddie Huffman and Sarah Poteete, live down
Poplar St. in Carrboro and got robbed on Christmas day while visiting
their family in Tennessee. Computers, camcorder, CDs, stereo,
heirloom and antique instruments, and more all got stolen. As of now,
there are no leads and it seems unlikely any of there possessions will
ever be recovered (Eddie had some beautiful banjos passed down in his
family).

Gerald Shoenherr (Sound of Singles) has organized a benefit for them
to try and raise a couple hundred bucks as a way of trying to help
them at least make a small dent in the expense of replacing some of
their most important items.

Please come and give what you can and pass this message on if you
would like.

Show starts early at 9PM (for real), last band at midnight.

DJ Lady Factual will offer music for our listening pleasure between
sets

9 PM--Marpessa Dawn (Brendan Greaves of Philadelphia, has played with
Lucky Dragons and some other Philly psyche-folk types)
9:30-- Hiss Golden Messenger (recent North Carolina transplant Mike
Taylor, formerly of San Francisco's excellent Court and Spark)
10 PM-- Reid Johnson (of Schooner)
11 PM-- The Hem of His Garment (ensemblic drone)
12 PM-- Sound of Singles (Gerald Schoenherr doing the one man band
channeling the likes of Billy Joe Shaver, Tom Waits, and of course Bob
Seeger)

thanks for your time.
