nice remembrance cy. i have never been much of a collector, just
bought what i liked and i found lots of what i needed there at the
record hole. from '86 to '91, i lived walking distance from the shop.
the guy who shot this (tony madejczyk) shot some hanks footage the
next spring ('88) and as he was leaving the brewery that night, he
left the cam on and shot some nice 2am interior shots of the record
hole from through the front window. the cops came by to ask what he
was doing. he got that on tape too. i've always loved the fact he
chose to do that and left it on the tape he gave me. i recognized
several of the old school durham, greensboro & raleigh blokes
(o'reilly, puterbaugh, lewis, bent, kilgo) in that record convention
piece. my, we were young then.
