Home Movie Day
Dig out your old home movies (16mm, super 8, 8mm)!
Home Movie Day Raleigh allows individuals to relive old memories such
as family vacations, weddings and birthday parties by screening their
old reels of 8mm, Super8mm or 16mm films in a fun, festive
environment. Film experts will be on hand to screen, inspect and offer
tips on how to preserve home movies. So rifle through your attics, dig
through your closets, call up grandma, find your family's home movies
and bring them to North Carolina State University's Home Movie Day
Raleigh event. Or simply come out to watch the home movies that others
bring.
This local event is part of a worldwide Home Movie Day celebration,
during which people in cities and towns gather to meet local film
archivists, find out about the long-term benefits of film versus video
and digital media, and watch old family films.
Saturday AUGUST 11th, 2007 from 1 - 4pm, NCSU North Campus, Caldwell
Hall Basement Rooms G107, 2221 Hillsborough Street (Across from
