I don't know if that was meant with a sarcastic tone or not, but the point
remains that there used to be a good selection of places within walking
distance where we could go and sit outside with a drink and have a
conversation. Now our choices seem to be The Federal (which I like but often
times can't get an outside table), James Joyce (which is okay, but I find the
benches there pretty uncomfortable), and Devine's (which I have never really
had much to say about). It was nice to have a couple of "dive bars" around.
I guess it is just more incentive for me to get my ass in gear and move
around here.
