Hey Everybody,
I've been an on-again/off-again lurker here for many, many years. And I thought that maybe some of you out there might be able to help.
I am writing because TROSA needs your help. I know that many of you local folks have used TROSA for moving and lawn mowing and you've even made donations of clothes, household items and cars for which we are extremely grateful. We rely heavily on our businesses and our product donations to keep TROSA going, but I am learning that we need more.
I have worked at TROSA now for eight months. It's the hardest job I have *ever* had. But it is, by far, the most rewarding. For those of you who don't know, TROSA is a 501(c)3 non-profit that provides a two-year residential drug rehabilitation program for people free of charge. We provide a therapeutic community to help people not only beat their addictions, but to learn job skills and become productive members of society. At TROSA, I run the Finance Department which means that I do the accounting work while teaching people office skills who have never worked in an office before.
Since I work with our finances, I see how much TROSA really needs cash donations. We need money to buy various items for the residents such as food, medicine, and gasoline. Lately, our cash resources have been small and we could really use your help.
The good news is that we received a challenge grant from the Stewards Fund who will match new donations received up to $250,000. Donations of any amount would be helpful. A gift of $20 or more could help alot.
If you would like to send a tax-deductible donation via PayPal, the email address is donate AT trosainc.org.
Also, there is a donation page on our website: http://trosainc.com/support/index.htm
Or you can send a donation by mail to:
TROSA
Attn: Stewards Fund Challenge
1820 James Street

Thanks for your consideration. And please spread the word... we could really use the money.
