Chaz is usually closed on mondays, but will be opening up special for
us! his sweet southern disposition or my undeniable charm...it's really
hard to say.

DES ARK: i don't know what i'm doing with my life, but i have plenty of
songs about whose fault that might be. (now armed with a banjo, thank
you yard sales.)

IN THE YEAR OF THE PIG: apparently if you take a random survey of 4
different music lovers whose authority you trust, they'll light up in
the face, their posture will improve & they'll get real bouncy &
breathy as they tumble into an unexpected and bizarrely passionate
detailing of their complex but unquestionable love for this band. it
usually goes a little something like this: "...you think it's gonna be
a total trainwreck...cute animal hats...insane...totally fucking
brilliant!!!" it's hard to suppress intrigue when you've got that type
of across-the-board enthusiasm for a group of people who seem convinced
they're forest animals.

ATTRITION (from DC): this is what you get when you raise a bunch of
kids in a city that was throwing on point punk shows before you was
even a zygote, then you stick em in a room with tube amps & an ear for
fucked up down tuned melody. these boys are serious about rocking. so
much so, in fact, that you might catch them doing their routine
pre-show group stretch, a thoughtful but basically worthless attempt at
avoiding "bangovers." anyway, we all cried like babies when botch broke
up & while i'm not saying they sound like botch, i am most certainly
saying that they too make me drive my car too fast in neighborhoods
with tiny adorable children & golden retrievers.

CONTROL (from Charlotte):"imagine a train full of severed dog heads
time warping and crashing into an ancient mongolian palace full of
giant bees. thats what we sound like." they're not joking, either.
