City Beverage has an excellent (and large) selection of microbrews/imports on tap. It has breakfast/coffee stuff in the AM and fancy-pantsy sit-down dinner at night. It has free wireless.

It has only two problems:

1) too damn many people know about it
2) the food is consistently priced about $2-3 more than I think it's worth ;-)

It's most excellent for those days when you're driving home from work & you realize that you can't wait until you get home to have that beer you're craving; cruise in there around 5:30 and fire up the laptop & drink a Dead Guy or something & all is well.

For Chaz, it's so far south that it's practically not even Durham, even though it's Durham. Coming from Durham-Durham, get on 15-501 going towards Chapel Hill, and turn left at Garrett Road (the stoplight where the furniture store has been going out of business for months now, and where the giant pumpkin stand was back in October). Follow it until you get to the CVS drugstore that's just past Jordan High. Turn left into the CVS parking lot and kinda hug the left side of the driveway until you get to the weird little strip/office building thing. That's where it is. Signage is small/obscure.

City Bev is a small restaurant/bar on the southwestern side of Durham - almost into Chapel Hill.

If you know where Woodcroft is, look directly across the street.

City Beverage is my most favoritest place to eat and drink in the Triangle.
It is not, however, a very good place to watch TV.
