in case you like movie trailers....
The first Trailer Park Fest was held in 2004 and was so popular, we decided to do it again as one of our fundraising events for the 2006 Ms. Films Festival! This event combines a variety of movie trailers (previews) including mainstream Hollywood, sci-fi cult classics, B-movie, independent, and more. Like seeing a short film screening, or like seeing the best part of a feature film, this event is lots of fun. Bring friends and family! Bring lawn chairs, come for the trailers, stay for the moonpies!
Saturday, February 4 at 7:00pm
At the Broad Street Café: 1116 Broad Street, Durham
Tickets are $4-6 sliding scale.
About Ms. Films 2006: The 5th Annual Ms. Films Festival will take place February 23-26 in Downtown Durham. The all-volunteer run organization is currently fundraising to cover festival expenses such as instructor fees, facility costs, and tech needs. In addition to curated film programs, feature film screenings, and film focused workshops, we are expanding our scope this year to explore the theme "Activism Through Media" and will offer a number of events and workshops in conjunction with the theme. We are excited to have filmmakers and media artists coming to Durham to teach workshops and screen their work, and see this as an opportunity to support our mission to empower women and girls with tools to make their own media, and showcase the work of women in media and film. More information about the festival, visiting artists, and programs can be found at www.msfilms.org
