Please join us at Internationalist Books on Saturday, January 7 at 6:15 pm to get a free copy of the O'Reilly technical book 'Podcasting Hacks' by Jack Herrington. There will be forty copies available on a first come, first serve basis -- no strings attached. This event will be following PodcasterCon 2006, a day-long event held on UNC campus.

What is PodcasterCon?
PodcasterCon 2006 is a free one day conference open to all participants to discuss and learn about podcasting. This not for profit event is being organized by a group of volunteers from around the world.

The event will not have traditional speakers, commercial product pitches, or bags full of conference swag. The event will have free food and drink, pre-organized sessions, and will be conducted in an unconference style.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 11 - INDYMEDIA G8 FOOTAGE AND DISCUSSION HOSTED THROUGH HARRY HALPIN

Harry Halpin, local NC/UK media activist, was one of the key organizers for the Eco-village at the G8 Summitin Scotland, come see footage of the protests and join in a discussion about the possibility of re-igniting Indymedia here in Chapel Hill!
