UNITAS Theme Housing information for Fall 2005 :

Discovering similarities through differences-this is what UNITAS can offer
you. UNITAS, housed on the second floor of Carmichael residence hall,
actively works to erase stereotypes and prejudice based on gender, race,
nationality, religion and sexual orientation. In order to break down cultural
barriers, all residents are assigned roommates based on their cultural and/or
racial differences rather than their similarities. The Department of
Anthropology is the sponsoring academic department for the program.
Acceptance into UNITAS is based on an application and interview selection
process. Find out more at housing.unc.edu/communities/theme/houses/unitas.
