Live Music in order of performance

6pm. Phasmatodea - inprov. not so ambient, ambient music.
http://www.phasmatodea.net/

7pm. PRIMUM MOBILE think radiohead, think lush, think really cool bands
from the early 90s (shoegaze) that influenced many of today pop band.
Scotty Carey performs on guitar and keyboard while bringing with him his
hard disk recorder. Its truly awesome.

8pm. Clang Quartet - an legend in our time that only a few people are
aware of. come on MTV...make this guy a millionaire! Performing very
cool experimental music, layered with some noise. Clang also shares a
visual performance of his interpretation of the Crufix of Christ.

9pm. Receptors - using 6 game boy handheld video game machines that have
"homebrew" cartridges that allow music to be created and looped, they
will perform music that will leave you in awe. how could that music come
from a game boy? they have coined the term " I want to hold your handheld"

MWA - they will debuting their Atari 2600 synth. based loosey on synth
pop with lots of experimental music using drum machines and vintage
synths. they will also bring with them a very, very, very rare (so rare
that i have never seen on in my life) "Atari Video Music (from what i
understand, you hook it up to your TV and psychedelic images appear on
your TV) that we plan to hook up (hopefully) to a lcd projector. crazy
huh? http://www.atarihq.com/museum/miscatari/avmusic.html (mommie was an
asteroid)

10 pm. Valid Core - this guy is from High Point, NC. He is a big
collector of analogue synths, drum machines, samplers and sequencers. he
plays synth pop music and he does it solo. he is almost finished with
his first record. Watch out Raleigh, you'll be amazed.

11 pm. Projexorcism - think A/V Geeks on acid if you will with Skotty
Irving providing the sound track with Skotty being on mushrooms...well,
Skotty or Skip may not appreciate the parallel, but they use 16mm film
projectors, about 4 of them. they hang them from light trees using
chains and ropes. they attach thinks like mirrors, cds (shinny side),
magnifying glasses and crazy pieces of transparent lenses. they had my
guest artist performing crazy experimental music. the projectors are on
strobe light controllers and they go in and out. the audio from the
films are being looped and sampled...using crazy delays and other audio
effects. you can not stand up without holding on to a door jam, this
crazy experience will make you think you are having a seizure.

Post Midnight Phasmatodea - inprov. not so ambient, ambient music.
http://www.phasmatodea.net/

Music will be happening on all 4 floors! Video Games on all 4 floors!
(yes, the top floor will be opened, come see this old bldg that hasn't
been touched much at all since 1921)

Saturday October 2, 2004 Convention resumes at 11am.

Tom Karches will be with us on sat (possibly Friday too) to talk about
circuit bending. he has performed several bends and will demo. some of
his circuit bent musical instruments.

4 pm music by Tengu Anthony has some confrontational vocals prepared
that he'd like to unleash on an audience while Steve provides audacity.

Sunday October 3, 2004 Convention resumes at 1pm.

Sunday....well, word on the street that i will be selling my entire
collection of classic video games and such. i even desire to sell all of
my stuff at the shop that is classic video gaming related. so on Sunday,
everything i have left will be half priced.

More guests that will be at the convention....
Eric from moncure will be bring lots of his collection to share with
everyone including his commodore 64 that is running windows. sounds
crazy and i haven't see it yet, but there is an early windows software
program that was created for the commodore 64....he also love Atari and
have every Atari 7800 cart ever released.

Two Brothers from Mt. Sirey called the other night...they wanna come and
vend. They also produce a community TV show about classic gaming.

A few more people are coming to vend and set up their stuff. like in the
past, I'm sure more will show up and say, hi, can i set up?...

Bring you classic video games to share with everyone. In the past people
have brought their systems and games and set them up for playing. Its
awesome!

Im still waiting to hear from a few more music performers. If you would
like to perform on Sat or Sun, drop me a line or give me a call.

Its gonna be great. The N & O emailed me asking lots of questions...Im
praying for a article about the convention. We are expecing 200 to 1200
people to attend the entire weekend. Dont miss this one...its gonna be
BIGG...

thanks for you continued support
