Hi:
Does anyone know of a source which discusses the compensation rates for
musicians? In particular I am trying to get a ballpark number for how
many acts can make a living solely from their recorded music (I know
this is small, I just want to be a bit more precise)? I also have a
sense that acts not signed on the Big 5 (4 soon) are not on this list.
I have so far looked at,
Albini, Steve (1994). "The Problem With Music." MAXIMUMROCKNROLL.
Ian, Janis (2000). "From the Majors To the Minors."
Passman, Donald (2000). All You Need To Know About The Music Business.
New York : Simon & Schuster.
Any other sources would be most appreciated!
