Good morning CC Africa

CC South Africa will not be proceeding with a bid for the Global Summit but we are very happy to put our full weight behind any other African team interested.

Hope someone from the continent does consider it, would be tremendous to see it in Africa

Hi Mark & Tobias

I don't think we have capacity for a effective bid for this.

Thoughts?

Subject: [cc-affiliates] Call for Bids to Host CC Global Summit 2015!

Hello All!

As Ryan announced last week, we've begun preparations for the 2015 Creative Commons Global Summit, and would like to invite all affiliates to submit their bid to host the event.

As you all know, the Global Summit is CC's bi-annual meeting, at which representatives of our affiliate teams, staff, board, and peer organizations exchange ideas and discuss the future of Creative Commons.
The event usually attracts over 300 people and is jointly organized by CC Headquarters and the local affiliate. This year we're hoping to expand the effort and also include the larger communities that we work with in shaping the summit agenda. To submit your bid to host the 2015 Global Summit, click here to complete an _expression_ of Interest. This short form will collect information about your affiliate team, your suggested venue, and accommodations. Please submit your _expression_ of Interest by December 5, 2014.

Once all submissions have been reviewed, a shortlist of applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal and budget. If you have any questions about the _expression_ of Interest form or have problems accessing it, please send your inquiries to summit AT creativecommons.org.

Looking forward to hearing from all of you!
