I think, first up, we owe Jane a thankyou for her account to the list.
I would definitly support the key point that the wider stakeholder
community which was involved at the onset of CCANZ needs to reassemble
- probably regionally - to give their views on the future governance
and work plan for CCANZ.

If this approach is accepted , including by those who may be in the
offing re funding support - then we need to start thining about the
who when and what.

As to the immediate governance issues. I understand the CC mandate for
NZ is till held by the Humanities Baord and that the Royal Society.
has not yet confirmed its intention to accept responsibility for the
CCANZ. And that they are unlikely to do so without some external
financial support.

This interegnum seems to me to be all to the good because it allows
the debate as to who should hold the mandate to proceed.

And that might be a great point to discuss on this list.
