Hi Danyl:

this are really good news! Cool. I´m really looking forward to support you
on porting the license for New Zealand.

First of all the University legal department should sign a Memorandum of
Understanding. With this, they agree to be the Affiliate Institution for
the CC project in New Zealand.

We need a legal person to sign the MOU. This person will be the Legal
Project Lead. If you are not a lawyer yourself, you can become the Public
Project Lead for New Zealand. And you can team up all the other people who
will be in involved. But this relationship will not need a formal agreement during
the porting process of the licenses. We have further agreements, once the
licenses are adopted to New Zealand law.

Attached you find our updated guidelines for the process and a draft of the
MOU. If you have more questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best,

Eva

Tena koutou Mia, Chistiane, Eva,

We have made some major strides forward with the Aoteaora localisation of CC. We now have people from a number of government departments including the National Library on board and a legal team based at Victoria University's legal department who have made some good progress on translating the licenses.

At this point we need to confirm who we should be liasing with at CC.org. We have some questions about things like Project Lead criteria and the process we need to follow to become an official CC localisation project.

Kia ora
