Now, you want to talk about "power disparity", how about
DRM-Dave with his DRM-only player. He sells Alice a copy
of some CC-SA work for her DRM-only player.

Alice shows the content to Bob. He likes it. He wants to
get a copy for his DRM-only player, but the Anti-Circumvention
of the DMCA prevents Alice from giving Bob a copy that will
play on his DRM-only player.

Bob must go to Dave to get a copy that will play on his
DRM-only player.

There is a serious power disparity.

"But Bob could listen to it on his PC using a parallel copy."

Right, but the only way Bob can play it on his DRM-only player
the same as Alice has, is to pay Dave a chunk of money.

Dave is a lot more power over Alice and Bob.
It is no longer the level playing field normally associated
with FLOSS communities.

Parallel Distribution does not solve this power disparity.

If you want to solve the problem of a potential snow globe
power disparity, then have both anti-tpm to prevent Dave
from having a platform monopoly, and have parallel distribution
to make sure the snow globe industry doesn't take over the world.

But you must have the anti-TPM clause to prevent Dave from
wielding far more power than Alice and Bob have.
