Okay, I agree that this is the crux of the argument.
I think I need some time to think about this. Part of the problem is that I don't understand the GFDL and I'm afraid of my work going into a license I don't understand that might do something I really don't like.
I make an effort to only use licenses I feel I understand (those are BY, BY-SA and GPL).
