Well, let me reverse this -- it's probably about as reasonable to use
a postal address as an URL. Maybe slightly more reasonable. But
neither a postal address, an URL, nor for that matter a non-profit
organization, nor the laws of a particular country, nor the country
itself, are rock-solid permanent things. You have to start somewhere.

Perhaps the best idea is to join the Long Now Foundation:
