Dear all,

Have any of you had experience with the "Copyright For Creativity"
initiative? I've been approached by them with a proposal to organize a
joint event and I'm not fully sure how to understand this initiative.
Any recommendations on / off this list will be appreciated :)

No experience with them, but I think their manifesto (Copyright
for Creativity – A Declaration for Europe) - is what you want to
look at: http://copyright4creativity.eu/bin/view/Public/Declaration

My understanding is that they're a copyright reform movement whose
main goal is to expand and harmonise (across jurisdiction) exceptions
to exclusive copyright. Those exceptions are known under various names
in various jurisdictions (e.g. "fair use" in the US, "fair dealing" in
the Commonwealth, "borrowing rules" in Norway), and they also are
not the same in every jurisdiction.
