No, not really. Although he certainly was on the list for a while and was
on the side of content hashes. The major role played in the development of
the Freenet key types were Oskar Sandberg and myself, pulling in opposite
directions.

An extension is, by definition, part of the filename. Keys don't contain
the exact size of the file, but do contain a maximum size for the file
expressed in a fixed length logarithmic scale.
