ISOs of BL exist for versions 2.1 and 3.32. Don't know about 2.1 but the one for 3.32 is not setup for install from the CD-ROM. Its install script is going to look for the BL files on the floppy drive.
Steven was suggesting that you install the loop version of BL3.5 to a DOS partition (or Win9X FAT partition) and then install to hard drive from there. Do you have a bootable FAT partition? I forget what hardware and OS you said you had already.
Also I was wondering if a version of LINKS2 that can handle Javascript exists? How much trouble would it be to add Javascript to the existing LINKS2?
What Steven or I compiled, and the best that can be done, handles only a minimal amount of javascript. Versions after 2.1.28 (?) dropped javascript support because it was buggy.
I think elinks claims to support javascript but I could never get it to compile that way.
Opera 9 or even 8 (uses less RAM) does much better with javascript.
