Use mpg123 and scripts from
http://keesan.freeshell.org/bl/classrad-dialup-http.tgz

These 8 American stations broadcast at 24Kbits/sec (kwtu at 32) and do not require mms: or other odd URL formats, just http:

Mplayer-uclibc appears not to work properly online on PI or PII.

wget -O - http://path/to/mp3 | mpg123 -

mpg123 is in mp3.tgz of Slackware 8.0 and also in earlier Slackwares.

classrad.tgz uses mplayer, and includes disappeared stations.

Half are k (western) and half w (eastern) so you can avoid the news.
There is up to a 3 hour time difference between them and news is roughly 4 to 7 pm.

Wow, 8 classical stations that play even at dialup speeds on a 120MHz laptop! We lost our local classical broadcast station years ago.

Please suggest other HTTP URLs for classical streaming mp3.
mbpc and kbni are now 64Kbits/sec.
