32K streaming MP3

At the site the link reads wfiu_low.m3u but mplayer requires removing the m3u, at least when used CLI.

podcasts
Download mp3 or wma for your player or computer (via broadband)

Radio New Zealand, performances by New Zealand groups. The mp3 is enormous (maybe higher quality?). 52MB vs 3.4MB wma. I think they only post one concert a month and leave it up for two months.

Many podcast links that I tried to follow require javascript or flash. You are supposed to use iTunes to subscribe for your iPod. Or CLI bashpodder, a bash script for RSS feeds that uses wget. It needs xsltproc to deal with xml. You need three files one of which specifies what to download, and it updates your collection when run and keeps things sorted.

A search on 'linux podcast' found me podcasts about linux. MP3 or OGG for download or streaming audio. Distro Watch Weekly. Catch up on the latest distro releases. Distro Watch link is xml, which lynx and Opera 9.5
display without formatting. (Opera will reveal the code, which improves formatting, but lynx wants to download it). xml links do not work but you can type them in manually.

Opera claims XML support in version 9.5 but it did not work well at this site. Maybe for an older version. Anyone want to check Firefox 1.5?
