So I partitioned the IBM Thinkpad 560's hard drive into two parts, hda1 and hda2, both ext2 and hda1 is flagged bootable.
Running BasicLinux from the floppies, I can't mount either partition, or the hard drive itself.
Although fdisk seems to recognize the partition table, I get this when I try
/<#>mount /dev/hda1 /hd
VFS: Can't find an ext2 filesystem on dev ide0(3,1).
[MS-DOS FS Rel. 12,FAT 16,check=n,conv=b,uid=0,gid=0,umask=022,bmap]
[me=0x1,cs=1240,#f=191,fs=34616,f1=1699280,ds=327153000,de=1536,data=327153,s
e=185,ts=1015022771,ls=20487,rc=0,fc=4294967295]
Transaction block size = 512
VFS: Can't find a valid MSDOS filesystem ondev 0:300.
mount: Mounting /dev/hda1 on /hd failed: Invalid argument

Can someone help me here? I've tried several different table configurations with fdisk, and I really can't mount it at all, whereas I used to be able to.
